You know the feeling. The day is over, but you are still holding it. The conversation that went sideways, the worry that follows you room to room, the tension that has taken up residence in your shoulders. You cannot think your way out of it. You have tried.
Yara was made for that moment. Light it when it is time to put the day down, after the door closes behind the last obligation, at the end of a hard week, or any evening that needs a full stop.
The scent is an instant exhale, built around Lemongrass and Lime. It opens with the smoky yet citrusy aroma of Lemongrass, herbaceous and clean, the scent equivalent of stepping outside for air. Lime Zest and Lemon Peel lift and brighten the heart, cutting through the fog of the day. Beneath it, subtle floral notes of Rosewood ground the blend, soft and steady, the place you land.
Yara takes her name from the lady of the waters in Brazilian legend, the spirit of the rivers. Rivers do not hold on to anything. Whatever falls in is carried away, and the water keeps moving. There is no better name for a candle about letting go.
Set in the wax are genuine Smoky Quartz chips. Smoky Quartz is known as the stone of release, long associated with grounding, calm and clearing what no longer serves you. It is the crystal people reach for when the day needs to end. As the candle burns, the chips are gradually revealed in the wax, a small reward for every hour you spend with it.
Every Yara candle arrives with a double-sided ritual card in the box. One side tells you what Smoky Quartz means. The other tells you exactly what to do, from your first burn to your last. No guesswork, no thinking required. You just light the candle and let go.

Caring for Your Candle
To get the most out of your Jade + June candle, follow these simple tips each time you burn it.
- Trim the wick to 5-6mm before each burn for the best burn time.
- For the first burn, allow at least 3 hours or until the wax melts to the edges of the jar.
- Never burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
- When finished, extinguish with a snuffer and replace the lid to keep the wax dust-free.
Safety Instructions
- Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from anything flammable.
- Place on a sturdy, heat-resistant surface, out of reach of children and pets.
- Burn in a well-ventilated area, away from drafts, and stop once 1cm of wax remains.
- Store below 25°C, away from direct sunlight.
Room Spray, Diffuser & Melt Care
- Room spray: shake well, then spray 2-3 pumps into the centre of the room. Avoid fabrics, furniture and direct contact with skin.
- Reed diffusers: last 3-6 months and can be flipped regularly to refresh the scent. Keep away from open flames.
- Wax melts: place 1-2 squares in a warmer, enjoy for a few hours, then let the wax cool before removing. Never pour melted wax down the drain.

- Standard Post: 3-5 business days (6-8 for NT and WA).
- Express Post: 1-3 business days when ordered by 2pm AEST on a business day.
Returns
We do not offer exchanges or refunds for a change of mind, so please choose carefully. If your item arrives faulty or damaged, contact us within 48 hours at hello@jadeandjune.com.au with your order number, a description, and photos, and we’ll arrange a replacement or refund.
Missing Parcels
If your order shows as delivered but hasn’t arrived, check with household members and neighbours, look around your property, and contact your local post office. Still no luck? Email us within 7 days of the delivery date and we’ll open an investigation with Australia Post.
What are your candles made from?
Our candles are made using 100% natural soy wax and non-toxic fragrance, and are infused with ethically sourced crystals.
Can I leave the crystals in my candle when I light it?
Yes! The crystals are small enough to leave in while burning. Once about 1cm of wax remains, you can carefully remove them with a heatproof utensil, then rinse off any excess wax in a strainer under hot water.
Are your products vegan-friendly?
Yes, we’re pleased to offer vegan-friendly products across our entire range.
What should I do with my empty jar when finished?
Your empty jar can be reused as a storage container, or it can be recycled.
